Day Trading Prop Firms: Align the Session and Account Clock
A personal day-trading session does not necessarily begin or end with the provider’s account day. Record both clocks and the relevant market. A session that spans a reset can include more than one account period without automatically satisfying more than one activity requirement.

Draw the session and rule intervals separately
Start with the full date, timezone and endpoints of your working interval. Add the provider’s published daily update window as another interval. Opening hours, order cutoffs and forced-closing rules belong to the specific market and need their own sources.
HashHedge gives different daily windows for Crypto + TradFi and US Stocks. Do not copy the crypto window into a stock record or treat a calendar reminder as proof that the account has already updated. Preserve the platform’s own refresh time and observed status.
Read a dated London example
For a fictional observation at 20:05 UTC on 23 October 2026, a UTC+4 display is 00:05 on 24 October. A London display for that dated instant is 21:05 on 23 October. The same event has different calendar labels; the position and event itself have not changed.
An account-day classification requires the applicable rule and actual update state. It cannot be inferred solely from a London diary date. Near seasonal clock changes, use the dated timezone rather than carrying one fixed London offset through the whole year.
| Clock | Dated display | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|
| UTC | 23 Oct 2026 20:05 | Supplied instant |
| UTC+4 | 24 Oct 2026 00:05 | Fixed-offset display |
| Europe/London | 23 Oct 2026 21:05 | Dated local display |
| Actual account day | Needs rule/status evidence | Not established by a diary |
Separate overlap from qualifying activity
This site’s existing interval worksheet measures overlap. Two overlapping work intervals do not establish two qualifying trading days. If a rule counts opening activity, use the actual opening log and the correct stage, with any missing events left visible.
A planned session also does not authorise holding a position through a product’s cutoff. Review the specific market conditions before using a calendar routine. The worksheet does not trade, monitor an account or promise that the routine will meet the evaluation.
Review the routine before the purchase
Compare your available time, product rules and personal eligibility. If an essential clock or cutoff is not established, retain the question for the official product source. A schedule with an unknown boundary is incomplete.
The optional HashHedge link leads to the current programme guide. The calendar method and example can be used without registering or making a payment.
